Not Opening Just Yet

Not Opening Just Yet

We’ve really missed you, but despite Texas Governor Abbott’s Tuesday announcement that barbershops can get back to business on Fri., May 8th, Birds will not be reopening its doors this soon.

While we can’t wait to get back to work and see you, our primary goal in this new environment is to make sure Birds is the cleanest and safest place to get your haircut. Period.

To do so, we are working hard behind the scenes to make sure all our new safety protocols and protective supplies are ready. We’re even consulting with an infectious disease doctor to get the details right.

Right now we anticipate we’ll be able to safely reopen in mid-May. Please follow our social media accounts @birdsbarbershop for the latest updates.

Once we officially reopen our doors, things might look and feel a bit different. We’ll only be taking online and call-ahead appointments to keep occupancy low and social distancing high. You’ll see us in safety gear we’re still getting used to ourselves, and physical barriers where we wish they weren’t. Bottom line, we are doing everything we can to keep both you and our staff safe.

Looking forward to seeing your crazy corona-styles in our shop soon (and feel free to post your hair pics on social and tag them with #missubirds and we’ll give a free cut to a medical worker once we reopen).

Warmly,

The Birds Team
